Bam Nuttall wins £500m waste incinerator
Bam Nuttall has won a contract to carry out civil engineering work on a £500m waste incinerator in King’s Lynn for energy-to-waste company Cory Wheelabrator.
Before work can start Norfolk County Council must still approve the scheme, which would process 260,000 tonnes of waste a year and generate more than 20MW of electricity.
The contract award follows recent approval from environment secretary Caroline Spelman for £91m in waste infrastructure grant funding towards the cost of the plant.
